Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) Preparation Course
This preparation course is ideal for you if:
- A professional certification aligns with your career goals
- You meet the eligibility criteria for the CPTD certification by fulfilling one of the following criteria:
- You have at least five years of work experience in talent development and 60 hours of professional development within the last five years.
- You have at least four years of talent development experience, earned the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD®) certification, and are in good standing. For eligibility details, visit the CPTD eligibility page.
- You have earned an ATD Master® Program designation and would like to gain more in-depth knowledge of other capability areas in talent development. (Any ATD Master Program completed in the last five years will count toward the full professional development requirement.)
APTD® Certification Preparation Course
This preparation course is ideal for you if:
- You are in the early part of your career or in a role focused on foundational areas of the field.
- A professional certification aligns with your career goals
- You meet the eligibility criteria for the APTD certification, which are:
- Three years of work experience in talent development and 28 hours of professional development within the last three years. For eligibility details, visit the APTD eligibility page.
- You have earned an ATD Master® Program designation and would like to gain more in-depth knowledge of other capability areas in talent development. (Any ATD Master Program completed in the last three years will count toward the full professional development requirement.)
ATD Master Programs
Eligibility requirements vary for each program, but a participant must:
- Have a minimum of three years in the field
- Have experience with topics found within the program and be able to apply the concepts
- Have completed a foundational ATD certificate program (preferred, not required)
Certificate Programs
- There are no eligibility requirements for ATD certificate programs. ATD Education programs are designed primarily for learning professionals—trainers, instructional designers, and organization development practitioners—but also greatly benefit anyone within an organization who is responsible for developing others, from managers to human resources specialists.
Courses
There are no eligibility requirements for ATD courses. They may be appropriate for those early in their career or making a career shift, and those who have been asked to take on new duties and need to upskill quickly.
